The IDBM Minor studies combine the very best bits of IDBM into a condense learning experience. Students join the IDBM community to learn IDBM core skills and collaborate with different disciplines and backgrounds in transdisciplinary teamwork settings.

Application period is open 15.5.-31.5.2019, Minors start in Fall of 2019


FITech Track

Any Background
Fall of 2019

In collaboration with FITech, the Finnish Institute of Technology, IDBM is proud to offer a new transdisciplinary minor study track that combines online learning and hands-on real-life challenges. You can apply with any university bachelor’s background.

Industry Track

Aalto Students
Fall 2019

Running from Fall 2019 to Spring 2020, the Industry Minor offers students a possibility to complete the 5 month long, hands-on industry project with one of our renowned industry partners. Students tackle real-life challenges in transdisciplinary teamwork.

Applying to Minor from other schools?

Interested to apply, but not a student at Aalto? Not to worry.

a) If you are from a Finnish University, first you need the JOO-study rights. See more info for here.

b) If you are an international student, please also contact a study coordinator at your home university to discuss the practicalities of completing a minor degree at another university.

If eligible, feel free to contact Anna-Mari Saari, IDBM Program Manager, by 31st of May and email her the following documents:

  • Motivation Letter
